We offer speical learning programs for students ages 4 – 21. St. Joseph Center For Special Learning is sponsored by the Office of Education, and offer academic, social, religious, and pre-vocational instructions to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Schuylkill and surronding counties,

No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why we create an individual learning plan for every child. Your plan will combine direct instruction, small-group work, and one-on-one tutoring in a way that works for your student.

Our curriculum is determined by the individual needs of the student body and with an average student/teacher ratio of 7 to 1, each child gets the attention they deserve. Our school currently serves students of various ages, religious beliefs, ethnic and economic backgrounds.

Conductive Educationprogram
Conductive Education is a comprehensive, intensive, and multi-disciplinary approach to education, training and development for individuals with cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other motor challenges. School Ageprogram
A regular schedule for Masses and religious services is provided that actively celebrates the seasons and themes of the liturgical year. Direct catechetical instruction appropriate to the cognitive and developmental levels of each student is provided. Vocational Trainingprogram
At St. Joseph Center for Special Learning, we offer Vocational Training in our PAES lab where students utilize a simulated work environment to explore vocations. The lab uses office equipment, kitchen appliances and utensils, and carpentry tools to provide students hands-on experience to help them learn a skill or trade.Read More

Our Adult Program is a state-licensed Community Habilitation Program designed for individuals aged 18 and older who, due to their functional level, are unable to enter the workforce.
