Teacher Aide

Job Function: Assists with the day-to-day operation of the classroom in an efficient manner which supports the mission of St. Joseph Center for Special Learning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Assists classroom teacher with certain instructional and routine tasks including individual and small group tutoring, supervising students independently and helping to prepare materials for the classroom.

– Performs routine tasks such as feeding, lifting, diaper changing and toileting on a daily basis if needed.

– Follows school policies in maintaining order and safety in the classroom, cafeteria, playground and on school premises.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent background.
