An endowed fund is a meaningful way to create a lasting legacy while ensuring ongoing support for the mission of St. Joseph Center for Special Learning. Through our endowed funds, managed by the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania, donors help provide long-term financial stability that benefits our students, adults, staff, and programs year after year.
As these funds grow, so does our ability to meet the evolving needs of those we serve, creating opportunities, enhancing services, and strengthening our mission for generations to come.
There are many ways to support an endowed fund, both during your lifetime and through your estate plans, including:
Cash gifts
Securities – Avoid capital gains by donating appreciated stocks to an endowed fund.
IRAs – Individuals age 70½ and older may transfer up to the allowable annual amount directly to an endowed fund without incurring income tax on the distribution.
401(k)s – Transfer funds from a 401(k) to an IRA to make a gift to an endowed fund.
Insurance Policies – Donate the proceeds of a fully paid life insurance policy.
Beneficiary Designations – Name an endowed fund as a full or partial beneficiary of an insurance policy or investment account.
Bequests – Include an endowed fund through your will or trust documents.
Whether your gift supports scholarships, student enrichment, wellness services, staff excellence, or the long-term sustainability of St. Joseph Center, your generosity will create a lasting impact for generations of students and adults with disabilities.

This fund provides scholarships to help make a St. Joseph Center for Special Learning education accessible to families in need. Established through the generosity of the families of Jacqueline Dorian and Mark Fanelli, the fund honors their lasting commitment to our students and ensures their legacy of service and compassion continues for generations to come.
